Simple clay cup may be Holy Grail in Essen es pots
American Bible scholar Stephen Pfann argues the Holy Grail was a plain wafer thin clay communal cup used by the Essenes at Qumran and similar to the Last Supper vessel. Pfann cites similarities between Essene ritual meals and the gospel narrative while others question a lowly cup’s ceremonial use.
