Brown 67 a La Cygne resident formerly of Ottawa died Thursday April 16 1998 at Mercy Hospital Fort Scott A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Mount Hope Cemetery near Williamsburg officiated by Rev Clyde Greisen He was born November 21 1932 at Quenemo to Samuel and Sarah Brown He grew up in Quenemo area worked at Willis Nursery Ottawa from age 13 and later as a handyman and janitor in La Cygne He was preceded in death by two brothers Harold and James Brown a sister Dorothy Toumberlin and a daughter Martha Ann Brown Survivors include a sister Nora Wadkins Russell a brother-in-law William A Toumberlin Princeton and many nieces and nephews Friends may call after 3 p.m. Saturday at Lamb Roberts Heise Funeral Home Ottawa and family will meet at 1 p.m. Monday before the procession to the cemetery Memorials may be left to Ernest L. Brown Memorial Fund at the funeral home.
