Megan Denton of Ottawa, Kansas, a KU junior and daughter of Don and Cris Grenton, placed first in the solo dance at the National Cheerleading Association Collegiate Nationals in Daytona Beach. Her KU Crimson Girls Dance Team also won Division I and the grand champion awards, with NBC filming the event for a Saturday air time 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on NBC.

Road closing near approval in Anderson County
