Kansas House approves no call bill to curb telemarketing
The Kansas House passed a no call telemarketing bill 105 to 18, sending it back to the Senate. It would create a five year registration on a no call list maintained by the Direct Marketing Association, require caller ID display by 2004, and offer one free registration method while exempting some three year or less business relationships. Opponents warn of potential harm to small businesses.
