Wilkes Barre Pa AP A Pennsylvania judge rejected a motion by Mary Jo Kopechne’s parents to dismiss a petition for an autopsy on her body. Judge Bernard Brominski ruled he has authority to order an autopsy and gave District Attorney Edmund Dinis 20 days to amend the petition for an autopsy.

Gasoline Explosions Trigger Emergency in Warsaw Village

A state of emergency was declared in Warsaw New York after a tanker truck overturned on Route 20A spilling 8 100 gallons of gasoline which flooded sewers and sparked explosions. One man Thomas Drake 32 of Elmira died and John Malatta 25 Macedon was injured as four houses burned leaving 17 people homeless. A 15 year old son of a Federal Railroad Administration official died after apparently shooting himself on the steps of the Capitol.
