Americans and British Kidnapping Victims Freed by Eritrean Rebels

The State Department says two U.S. civilians Steven Campbell of San Leandro California and James Harrell of Milwaukee and a British national W W Burwood Taylor were released by the Popular Liberation Forces in Sudan after being kidnapped July 14 in Ethiopia. Campbell and Harrell worked at a U S naval communications facility in Asmara. No ransom was disclosed and U S policy rejects ransom payments. Ronald Michalke remained missing since December and officials hope for his release soon.
