Courthouse Statue Hit by Lightning and Lost Details Emerged
The Oswego County court house statue of justice allegedly struck by lightning long ago is debated by readers. Mrs. Gould of Hall Road Oswego RD 2 provided 1906 and 1896 photos showing multiple statues and offered access to Mrs. Green for review. A history buff suggested the main statue was removed after a lightning strike many years ago.

Couple Hurt In One-Car Mishap In Town Of Clay
An Oswego couple sustained minor injuries and were treated at Crouse Irvin Memorial Hospital after a one car crash on Caughdeney Road near the Erie Canal bridge. Mrs Georgette Wisehoon 52 and her husband Harry V Wisehoon 56 were northbound when fog obscured her vision. The car struck a guardrail abutment and was transported by Brewerton Ambulance. Officer J W Pientka and Sat Thomas Bottar assisted at the scene.
