Water boil order issued for Sandy Creek Lacona residents
Twin villages Sandy Creek and Lacona face a drinking water boil advisory after tests show bacteria not meeting state standards. Mayor Carl Burritt, chair of the joint water board, says boiling will continue for about a week as authorities probe the contamination source. Health officer Dr. Burch K. Reed notified the State Health Department and stress that no sickness has been reported.
