The Board of Education voted four to three to keep Oswego County Vocational Education out of the 1966-67 survey program. The district remains the only county system not participating, while budget talks and staff changes dominated the lengthy session at the W Third St. offices.
In an advisory referendum 816 Red Creek residents opposed merging North Rose Walcott with Red Creek Central, 207 favored. Of 1,250 eligible, 1,034 voted. 11 ballots void. The board dropped the petition merger, with Bernard Craine reelected to a five year term.
The vocational education recommendation was decided last night when the board voted 4 to 3 not to rescind previous decision not to participate in the county survey program next year.
The English Handbell Choir of West Baptist Church will perform Sunday at 7 p m aided by the West Baptist Choristers. Miss Lois Scriber will play two pieces on the three manual pipe organ. Tickets at the door. proceeds support a regional Bell choir Conference at Alfred University.
Poultry growers in Oswego County are invited to the annual Poultrymen Get-To gather at Morrison Hall Cornell University July 12 13. The theme is Maintaining a strong poultry industry for the state with lectures demonstrations and talks on tax management brooding on wire contact egg production ventilation and cage management. A chicken barbecue is planned at Taughannock State Park and state Poultry Council members will report on activities.

In Oswego County Court Judge Don H. Stacy was away at a judicial conference. Ronald L. Baratier pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated with sentencing set for July 7 and bail continued. An indictment against Joseph Eusepi for illegal firearm possession was dismissed though his pistol permit was revoked. Eusepi had just completed a sentence for bookmaking and pool records.
In Hannibal Central School district the annual meeting drew 36 voters. Principal Gordon Hastings answered one question about the 1966-67 schedule as residents prepare to vote on two trustees and a $1,439,470 budget by 9 p.m. tonight.
Oswego County lawyers lead state bar activity at Monticello summer meeting of the New York State Bar Association. County Attorney Charles F. Sayers serves on the executive committee of the Municipal Law Section. Attorney Leonard H. Amdursky is vice president of the Fifth Judicial District committee.
