Junior Yacht Club Day Camp Opens Registrations This Summer
Reports from the Fair Haven Yacht Club show many registrations for children ages 7 through 14 for a seven week Junior Yacht Club Day Camp starting July 8. Oswego Fulton and area kids expected, with bus service from Oswego at 9 am to Fulton and Fair Haven. Camp runs weekdays 10 am to 4 pm with swimming boat handling sailing and racing. fee 35 for 36 days or 7.50 weekly. director Kingsley Hendrick returns. assistants Pamela Jones and Patricia Nowack. Fulton Recreation Commission plans to delay appointing a full time recreation director until after January 1. John Lincoln said the commission debated hiring to replace the late John Muscalino, currently a part time post at 2300 dollars annually. An interim director may be appointed while a final decision is made and council approval needed for the pay raise.

From Aug 22 1961 to Dec 3 1962 the firm recorded 1179 leases with 232 releases since June 14 and ongoing filings. Drilling had occurred near Kasoag but operations were discontinued.

Funeral services for Mrs Rose F Powers wife of David E Powers were conducted at the Dain funeral home and St Josephs Church Oswego with a solemn requiem high Mass celebrated by her son Rev Isaias Powers.
