Blurring the lines: First responders review procedures
In Oswego County an June 8 accident highlighted jurisdiction confusion among fire police and ambulance services. First responders treated the patient on scene before an ambulance arrived, while Menter Ambulance sought to stay on scene until the closer unit could take over. Officials say reviews will address coordination and jurisdiction lines to improve future responses.
