Broadwell sues city over Midtown garage deal
Riverview Development challenges a December Common Council action to sell the Midtown Plaza parking garage to SRE Midtown Garage Acquisitions LLC for 1000 dollars. The suit claims the deal violates the New York constitution and Public Trust Doctrine while Riverview offered 25000 dollars and tax records show a 549000 value. The garage upper level remains closed while the lower level serves shoppers downtown.

A research vessel off Oswego will collect air and water samples to map the food web and trace contaminants. Two stainless steel air samplers will operate about 20 feet above the surface, drawing air through filters for later analysis. The crew aims to understand how contaminant levels in air relate to those in water as sampling occurs roughly six miles offshore with a return planned for Friday.

Man cleared of larceny faces sex charges and new arrest
