Elsie Brennan a long time fourth grade teacher at Sandy Creek Central School will retire at the end of the current school year. A graduate of Pulaski High School Oswego teachers college and Oswego State University she has taught in Oswego and Jefferson counties and spent most of her married life in Boyston.

The Oswego County Pomona Grange sponsors a Sunday chicken barbecue from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at the Sandy Creek Fairgrounds. The public is invited to attend and proceeds benefit the County Pomona Grange. Oscar Grossman leads the event which includes a horseshoe pitch-off contest.

Rev Ivan Greenfield officiated with Miss Sue Stafford organist. Heather Lounsbury served as bridesmaid and Michael Russell as best man. About sixty guests attended a reception at the bride’s home. The bride will graduate June 25. Bardeschewski a 1971 SCCS graduate serving in the Coast Guard.
Mrs. Carl Foultz and William Gene Robertson were married at 1 p.m. Saturday at a Methodist Church with Rev. Bertram Croop officiating. The bride wore a white lace gown with illusion mantilla and carried a summer bouquet. Attendants included Connie Rhinehart and Eileen Robertson. Best man Leand Robertson and ushers George Robertson, Larry Goodwin, and Steve Mowry. After a reception at Odd Fellows Hall, the couple planned a cross country trip to Long Beach California where Robertson serves as a Navy Oceanographer.
Judith Lynn Cheney married Eric Christopher Antonsen at the Presbyterian Church at 1 30 PM. The Rev William G Weiss officiated. The bride wore venise trimmed taffeta with lace details and carried white sweetheart roses. Reception at the Holiday Inn followed. The couple will honeymoon in Maine.
