Two New Adult Courses At BOCES In View For Summer
Oswego County BOCES proposes two new adult courses for summer including Occupational Guidance Testing and a Nurse Aide program. The approach uses tape recordings to schedule tests evaluated by a psychologist, with written results to guide field choice and address reading or math deficiencies. The Nurse Aide program, co sponsored with Oswego Hospital, trains men and women for roles in hospitals and care facilities, with no age limit and no prior education required beyond motivation. Fees are based on instructional hours, about $140 for 80 hours, plus uniforms, shoes, textbooks, and transportation borne by students. Training occurs at the BOCES Center in Mexico and Oswego Hospital.
