Fire Wrecks Home Save by Alert Officer
A Fulton police officer alerted a family of four to an early morning blaze at 313 Erie St. Firefighters battled the two story home from 2:20 to 4:35 a.m. and kept the fire from spreading to neighboring houses. The cause is believed smoking in bed. the family and two schoolchildren were uninjured.

OES Chapter Meets Monday in Fulton
Fulton Chapter 105 Order of Eastern Star meets at the Fulton Masonic Temple Monday June 4 at 8 p m. Mrs Janet Hawley and Joseph Beale Jr will preside. Members and visitors from other chapters are invited. A July 28 pilgrimage to the Eastern Star Home at Oriskany is planned with Oswego District in charge of a booth for men and donations. Betty Crocker coupons are sought for a Share Booth at the bazaar. Refreshments will be served after the June 4 meeting.
