Vacuum cleaner test at San Diego port highlights pollution control effort
The Port of San Diego tested the largest vacuum cleaner on the West Coast at the 10th Avenue Marine Terminal to suck up dust during the loading of 5,000 tons of sodium sulfate and soda ash. An official noted calmer air amid the test and other officials smiled at the progress. Also noted is Edward James Shortsleeve of Oswego Road who graduates June 1 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Albany College of Pharmacy Union University.
