Four Lives Lost In Blazing Taxi
CHICAGO AP Four persons burned to death early today when their taxicab burst into flames after it was struck by a speeding auto on Chicago's North Side. A witness policeman said two victims died inside the cab while two others were thrown from the vehicle, their bodies still burning. The coroner's office identified two men and two women as the deceased. Flames from the exploding gas tank shot into a restaurant and the fire was put out within 15 minutes. The witness officer said the speeding car traveled at 80 to 109 miles an hour.
