Halt Primary Preparations California Told

Nine Negroes jailed after Texas San Jacinto Day traffic stall

Nine African American individuals were jailed Tuesday night after a traffic-snarling disturbance during a Texas San Jacinto Day celebration in Houston. Deputies cited a leading car refusing to board a ferry, describing the scene as a drunken mess. About 15 were arrested. nine were charged, with two released after fines.
