Accident and Loss at Nanticoke Creek Crossing
A wagon with Smith, a woman, and a 14 year old girl attempted to cross near Nanticoke Creek ahead of a New York bound passenger train. The collision killed the man and girl, broke the woman's leg in two places, and dislocated a shoulder. The switchman was bruised. one passenger car derailed without further injuries. The coroner found no fault with the railroad.

Fire destroys Steam Saw Mill at Green Bay
A Fire totally wiped out the Steam Saw Mill at Green Bay owned by Wheelock and Floroboon on Saturday night. The mill was insured for $5,000, reported as a fortunate limit to the loss. Water in the streets had receded five inches from the highest mark as cholera deaths were noted this week.
