Assembly to shorten firemen hours and grant vacation

The assembly indicated it will pass a bill shortening firemen hours in first second and third class cities and grant two weeks of paid vacation. Two teenagers Melvin Kingman 15 and Robert Vanhussum 17 were killed in a head-on crash near Eagle River Wisconsin early today. A third occupant was hospitalized in Rhinelander in critical condition and driver Jack Bacich 21 was seriously injured.

Arkansas Outlaw Kills U. S. Agent In Mountain Hideout

Special Agent True Rowe, 35, of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, is killed during a confrontation with Arkansas outlaw Osborne at a mountain ranch house. Osborne, captured after fleeing with an unloaded gun, had a criminal record and was confronted while Osborne prepared to move to Muskogee, Oklahoma, on a separate theft charge. Local Chief Presley led the manhunt and alerted FBI headquarters in Washington.
