Carolyn Jones of Osceola daughter of Mr and Mrs David Jones registers as a sophomore at Midland College for the 1960 61 year to study elementary teaching. Louis P Monson of Osceola son of Mr and Mrs Paul Monson registers as a freshman to study Agriculture. Midland founded in 1887 is a liberal arts college affiliated with the United Lutheran Church in America. Enrollment has nearly doubled in the last decade with a new dining hall men’s dormitory and a 16 room classroom building under construction. A new student center will be ready before the opening of the second semester next January.
