Crop Insurance Aids Polk County Wheat Farmers
Polk County wheat losses this year were mitigated by AAA All-Risk Crop Insurance. Robert C. Taddiken notes insured seedings protected 30,757.5 acres for 352,991 bushels, with indemnities totaling about 129,572 bushels and cash value around $75,000. Farmers use payments for seed, livestock feed, and other needs, while 1888 applications for 1941 insurance indicate growing coverage.
