Canada Wheat at Exposition Promises Farmland Growth

Canada exhibited 11 pounds of hard red milling wheat at the American Land and Irrigation Exposition in New York. The sample boosted land values in the western provinces, benefited farmers, and supported plans for a transcontinental line with the Canadian Pacific Railway. A land grant of 25 million acres was noted, with 6 million in Alberta still unsold and offered at low rates through the railway.

Naval exhibit to visit Omaha during Ak-Sar-Ben festival

The U S traveling naval exhibit arrives in Omaha from September 25 to October 5. The display, free to the public, will be housed in a Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben building and features warship models including the Florida Oregon old Maine Salem Shubrick Decatur and Holland. It also showcases wireless and electrical devices plus school and gunners exhibits.
