Polk County exhibits at the Aksarben Stock Show October 31 to November 7 to prove it is the leading central Nebraska corn county. The display includes a large map, belt display showing national division data, and signs claiming Polk County’s top yield in the central division with 29.5 bushels per acre average 1925-29 and 31 bushels in 1930, plus 60 bushels per acre common this year. It features corn varieties Reid's Yellow Dent and Gold Mine among others, and notes 75 percent of Polk County corn feeds livestock while 25 percent ships out. 4-H club prizes and state fair ribbons are highlighted with youth imagery.
