Osceola Record reports on visits from neighbors and officials, political figures in town, church services and organized activities, upcoming football at the fair grounds, a Swedish Lutheran Sunday school start, a local wedding, the Mickey anniversary, and various community notices including sales, property changes, and school updates.
Osceola 26 Stromsburg 5 after a hard fought game at the fair grounds Saturday afternoon. Osceola jumped to a 10 to 5 lead at halftime and pulled away in the second half with strong drives and touchdowns. The Osceola squad impressed with sharp team play while Stromsburg could not solve the hosts’ quick moves. Columbus visits here Saturday and locals are urged to support the team.

Miss Cora Nelson and Grayce Bense visited Saturday and Sunday. P B Lindquist builds a corn crib with John Bense doing the work. Miss Maibelle Johnson visited later in the week with her sister Mrs Westenius. Walter Hern Bloom and family spent Sunday with Hern bloom's father. Julius Peterson sells a new bug gy and wins favor with the girls. Mrs H Friedenstein visited Mrs Jensen at Stromsburg last Saturday. Next Saturday is Oct 31st as a private hint. Will Hope subscribed to the Record and painted his mailbox red. Weaver Callum shows a fine new wheel for mail runs and many other notes from Siia Watkins.
