The firm promises the latest and best goods at the lowest prices with no inferior items in the stock and invites inspection to prove the claim.
Farmers receive corrected market figures for wheat corn oats and rye with cattle hogs and percent changes noted. Prices show 49 2at 1y for wheat and 30 2 for corn and oats, with 400 3.00 3.10 and 4 percent referenced.

Hon J H Robertson of Canton Ohio visits Osceola and talks with Wm McBeth about politics. G A Van Hall of Butler Maine praises Beggs Blood Purifier. S W Gushee and wife win honors in Nebraska lodges for service and leadership.
Miss Grace Myers and Mr. T A Dille were married at the Myers home in David City on Oct 23 1898 with about fifty relatives present. The ceremony was by a Methodist minister, a wedding dinner followed, and the couple departed for Chicago for their future home. Both had long ties to Osceola and were well regarded.
In Osceola at the Pratt Hotel parlors a department school of music was organized with county judge C. W. Getts elected president Ada Courtney named secretary and Carrie Sawyer to teach and lead as local superintendent. The school joins the Peoples University of Learning and Mendelssohn Department of Music, offering two to six year courses with Boston Conservatory standards and possible graduation.
