Soldiers Medal Strong Europe Training Completes
Pfc Louis J Schott graduates from Seventh U S Army Troop Information Instructors School in Munich Germany the only school of its kind in Europe for public speaking training. He serves with 596th TC Co Augsburg a combat ready support unit of the 24th Infantry Division. Also Specialist Four Duane L Peterson 21 son of Reynolds Peterson Osceola Neb participated with the 245th Transportation Company in Operation Flash Back in Europe. The 12 day exercise ended Sept 30 testing Seventh U S Army Support Command units under NATO field conditions. Peterson entered the Army in Nov 1957 and arrived overseas in May 1959 and is a Osceola High School graduate of 1956.

Annual Fund Drive For Nebraska Children's Home
Mr. George Macklin of Wayne will soon solicit funds across Polk County for the Nebraska Children’s Home Society a nonsectarian state agency. Randall C. Biart says gifts to aid homeless children offer great return as the society served 341 children and unwed mothers last year and has 67 years of service headquarters in Omaha. The agency handles adoption, temporary care, emergencies, and support for unwed mothers with 79 children placed last year.
