Farmers and homeowners face rabbit damage to young trees and shrubs. A cheap, effective repellent uses half pint lime and sulfur as the repellent, one gallon water as carrier, and one pint Foligard as sticker, with asphalt emulsion substituting Foligard. Apply at first damage indication and when temperatures exceed 50 degrees. The Polk County Conservation District offers the mixture in quarts.
