Former Polk Man's Car Kills Schuyler Man
Ludvick Vavricek, 88, of Schuyler, was killed on highway 30 near Schuyler when struck by a car driven by Robert K. Strickland, superintendent of Clarks Nebr schools. Strickland said dimmed lights and oncoming glare caused the accident while en route to Fremont. Strickland, a former Polk schools music instructor, is a well known community figure.
