Community Guests and Gatherings Across Thanksgiving Week
A long list of family visits and social events fills Greens Chapel area, highlighting gatherings at the Obrist, Berggren, Donelson, and Teegerstrom homes. Pre Thanksgiving dinners unite relatives from Lincoln, Polk, Osceola, Fremont, and beyond, with neighbors hosting birthdays, then diversions to York and Columbus for meals and fellowship. The period also marks a major church reorganization, uniting two denominations into one Nebraska Annual Conference with 500 churches and 15,000 members, led by Bishop Noah W. Moore Jr. and featuring noted speakers from regional religious and academic circles.
