Susan Buffington and Darwin Hahn wed in Osceola ceremony

Susan Buffington daughter of Mr and Mrs Dean Buffington Osceola and Darwin Hahn son of Mrs Hannah Hahn Polk were married November 16 at St Paul Lutheran Osceola. Rev Paul Konig performed the double ring ceremony in a 200 guest ceremony with Pauline Hahn providing organ music. They plan residence at 4100 Cornhusker Highway Lincoln Nebraska. Nora's Gift Shop advertisement note mentions layaway for Christmas.

Farm pond use for feedlot pollution plan urged in Polk County

Soil Conservation Service conservationists plan to survey and design a farm pond to capture feedlot residues and use them to irrigate and fertilize corn. Nebraska moves to control water pollution under the 1965 act, with Poll County items noting statewide inventories and penalties. Friendly Neighbors Club enjoys meeting and plans

The Friendly Neighbors Club gathered November 12 at Mrs Wayne Augustins home with 12 members and two guests. They organized a cov ered dish luncheon and gift exchange for December 10 at Mrs Eugene Sterups home. Prizes went to Mrs Vivian Dunning and Mrs Ben Schmoker while low was Mrs Charles Gabel.
