The Osceola store unveils its vast assortment spanning clothing, dry goods, hats, shoes, and more at lowest prices yet. Local notices mention subscriptions, bank loans, and new watch stock while reporting community visits, illness updates, court sessions, and entertainments.
For Hog Medicine go to G. T. Ray & Co. The barber charges 15 cents for a good haircut and shave at Albert Ryan's on the west side. Oliver Gunnell and his wife left early in the week for Salt Lake City Utah to reside there. Beggs Little Giant Pills claim cures for typhoid fever and other ailments with D. H. Kunkel listed.
The undersigned offer 43 heifers with calf and 39 yearling steers for sale to NE son Bros in Osceola.
The Ladies' Aid Society hosts a dinner at the M E church on Thanksgiving Day. A full big dinner will be served with proceeds benefiting the society. Adults 25 cents and children 15 cents. Mrs L A Baums Vice President.

Charles Dana Gibson previously illustrated The People of Dickens for The Ladies' Home Journal. This year and next W. L Taylor, a New England artist, will illustrate The People of Longfellow for the same magazine. The Osceola Music School opens with 18 pupils in piano. Prof Parks of York visits Nov 22 23 to organize voice. Private lessons 60 cents, adults 3 dollars per evening, children 10 cents per lesson. The Youths Companion announces 1899 calender surpassing prior issues in design and color. Subscriptions now include the calendar gift and free issues for November and December.
