Nebraska inspections show 1300 feedlots under waste control rules
James L. Higgins, Nebraska Environmental Control Director, reports over 1,300 feedlots inspected since June 22 1972 rule adoption. Total capacity about 900000 beef and 125000 swine. 27 percent require waste control facilities. inspectors led by Lanny Sce noen. Directs feeders to request inspections by December 31 1972 for facilities over 1000 head to avoid federal intervention.
