Thanksgiving Sunday is observed at First Methodist Church Osceola with a 11 a.m. service and a giving to the building fund for the parsonage.

Funeral services were held November 10 at St Bonaventure church for Minnie Altmanshofer 80 who died November 7 at St Marys hospital after illness since February. Born October 28 1886 at Ainsworth to Julius and Frances Cerny she married Herbert J Altmanshofer October 11 1911. The couple lived in Polk county and later Big Springs before settling in Columbus after 1941.
