OHS Band Wins State Marching Festival Honor
The Osceola High School band placed first at the Fourth Annual State Marching Festival in Lincoln on November 11. A 40 member ensemble performed eight minutes at Pershing Auditorium before three judges and earned the top trophy and certificate.

AWOL Sailors Recaptured After Jailbreak and Car Theft
Two AWOL Navy men, Ronald Webb and Jon Freid, were recaptured after escaping from jail by prying a window lock and using blankets as a rope.
