Mrs Lula Pickett and Mrs Alice Johansen were guests Monday with Mrs Elsie Stewart. Bruce Frizzell and daughters of Silver Creek visited Monday evening with Mrs Lula Pickett. Gregory Urban and family returned to Fairbury after attending a wedding. Randy Urban returned to school after a farm accident. Gary Lux attended a Nebraska Community Improvement program banquet at the Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln. Christianna Sarow staying in Columbus with Irene Hasselbalch while recovering from eye surgery returned.

Stromsburg Sewer Project Approved by Governor Exon
Governor J. James Exon announced approval of a 19300 wastewater treatment project in Stromsburg. The plan includes a lift station, force main and interceptor sewer funded by 14470 federal and 2410 state dollars, with the city covering remaining costs. Holly Smith part of Knoxville Symphony Orchestra ensemble.

Osceola B Team Defeats Polk Cubs 12-8 In Football
Osceola B team beat Polk Cubs 12 to 8 as Dan Bond handed to fullback Mike Smith for a 65 yard scoring run and Osceola led 6-0 after a failed extra point. Polk rallied with 73 yard drive for a TD and two point conversion to lead 8-6 at halftime. Osceola answered with a 93 yard second half TD aided by Polk penalties and finished with 232 total yards all on the ground.

She lived in Osceola, graduated Osceola High School 1932, married Melvin Wills May 5 1935. three children Thomas Wills Denise Tyler Suzanne Kane. six grandchildren and brother Carl survive. Graveside services were held October 22 at St George's Episcopal Church Milford Michigan. United States Coast Guard promotes Delayed Enlistment Program for high school graduates via Omaha recruiting office.
