Centennial planning and church events at Calvary Lutheran
In 1878 the Swede Home community held its first Bible School at Calvary Lutheran. The 1973 Vacation Bible School runs May 28 to June 8 with Mrs. Sterling Anderson as supervisor. A centennial gathering is planned on the church grounds June 24 or July 1, followed by a centennial service August 5 to 12. Many local families and visitors from Denver, Omaha, Lincoln, and other places attend gatherings and coffee visits, including Lundstrom, Larson, Johnson, Hetzer, Peterson, and Willits households. The Colorado State University graduate James L. Bennett plans to receive a business degree June 1.
