An obituary notes Dr David Jackson Smith born November 14 1864 in Washington Pennsylvania died May 25 1946 at St. Francis Hospital Osceola Nebraska. He practiced medicine in Rising City Osceola and retirement in 1937. Survived by daughter Ruth Cornish and son Robert Stanton among others. Memorial service May 26 at Osceola Methodist Church. مص

New Camp Fire Group Organizes at Cabin

Eleven girls gathered at the Camp Fire Girls cabin in the park on a rainy evening in May and formed a new group. Officers elected include President Joann Eklund and Vice President Jo Ann Bowe with secretary Pasilyn Kennedy and treasurer Anita Branting. Leaders are Mrs Warren Johnson and Mrs John Craven. The group meets at 9 30 Thursday to march in the Memorial parade and plans a hob o hike Friday May 31 meeting at the cabin at 4 00 bringing a sack lunch and dressing as a hobo.

Obituary of Mrs A C Sharritt

Osece Elizabeth Query born October 1883 Osceola Nebraska died May 14 1946 Ebenezer Hospital Brush Colorado aged 62. She lived in Osceola most of her life and married Albert Sharritt August 6 1902 in Greeley Colorado. Surviving are two children Charles A Sharritt of Brush and Florence Ransom of Colorado Springs, four grandchildren, one sister Ina Kidder Loveland and three brothers George W Leaven Kansas Ray Query Greeley and Claude Query Beaver City plus other relatives. Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 pm at a Brush Funeral Home with interment in Brush Memorial Cemetery.

Stromsburg Man Dies After Car Mishap

Alonzo Pitts, 75, of Stromsburg, died Tuesday from injuries after a Sunday car overturn near Stromsburg. Passenger in a vehicle driven by Mrs Ira Ready, Pitts and Ready were en route home from a ball game in Utica. Ready and another passenger were injured but not severely.
