Fashion Revue Highlights Teen Scene at Silver Creek
Silver Creek high school auditorium hosted its annual Style Show in the Homemaking Department Friday May 11 under the direction of Mrs. Robert Tooker. Freshman and senior girls modeled two garments each including suits shifts evening wear and town clothes. Over 100 attended and refreshments were served by the students as music played on records throughout the revue.

Wreaths Made for Memorials by Silver Creek Legion Auxiliary
Silver Creek Legion Auxiliary met with seven members to plan Memorial Day wreaths and Poppy Day sales on Saturday May 22 chaired by Mrs Elmer Powers. The group also noted a strong Savings Stamps year at the school and announced winners of the Let Freedom Ring essay contest.

Seniors Enjoy Denver Sneak Trip From Silver Creek
The May 7 sneak trip kicked off at 11 55 p m when the Burlington train departed Fairmont with the senior class board. The group toured Denver University and the Air Force Academy then visited the Garden of the Gods Manitou Springs Ghost Town Seven Falls and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo before returning to Denver for supper and the return train trip.

Methodist Churches Put On Special Program Wednesday
Fairview Methodist hosts a special program with guests from Silver Creek and Osceola. A moving picture on John Wesley will be shown. Sunday services include 9:30 morning worship and 10:30 church school. First Methodist Church choir rehearses Mondays, and MYF and Junior MYF meet Wednesdays. Sunday church school at 10:00 and morning worship at 10:57.
