In Osceola Nebraska a city printing bid controversy erupts as Polk County Democrat undercuts rivals by offering to print all city legal notices for one dollar per year. The Record accuses the Democrat of starvation bidding while praising its rival's steadier practices.

On Wednesday June 8 1910 at 2 pm at the south door of the Osceola Nebraska courthouse there will be a public auction of 257 acres of land two miles northeast of Osceola and five miles west of Shelby belonging to the Fentress estate known as the Byers farm. The land features good improvements and an orchard and will be sold in tracks to the highest bidder for cash. Land viewable anytime prior to sale. bidders should attend sale day.
