Public invited to meeting in Stromsburg on May 18
A public meeting will be held in Stromsburg on May 18 at 7 30 p m in the Viking Center to discuss the FHA Water and Sewer planning program for Region 9 Nebraska Planning and Development. William Ho from the state planning office says this is the second of three meetings for area officials and citizens to review population projections and projected water and sewer needs for Fillmore York and Polk counties. County and municipal officials and interested citizens are urged to attend.

Miss Christina Anne Mills, daughter of Mr and Mrs M A Mills Jr of Osceola, completed work for an Associate in Arts degree from Stephens College Columbia Missouri. 565 students received AA degrees in Stephens 137th graduating class at commencement May 14. Marlene Sanders of ABC News delivered the commencement address. Dr Seymour A Smith, Stephens president, presented the degrees. School will dismiss at 2 PM Thursday May 18 with Commencement Exercises at 8 PM in the High School Auditorium. Friday May 19 pupils report cards at 2 PM.
