Dr Calkins returned to his Deadwood home this weekend. John Erickson of Samuelson Co has been ill but is recovering. A water shortage occurred last week due to pump house repairs. J F Lower attended his uncle John Glade's funeral in Grand Island. Miss Cules of York joined the Woman's Club banquet. W E Nichol returned from the Black Hills brimming with enthusiasm for the region. Arthur P Lindburg died, ending the lodge 474AOUW’s perfect record since its founding twelve years ago. A Stromsburg and Davis City delegation visited Charley Dunn on the valley last Sunday and enjoyed Mrs Dunn’s cooking. A Denver telegram reported Lindburg’s death after a fall westward seeking health.
Remains arrived with family on the Union Pacific Tuesday and the funeral will be held at the Baptist church today with burial in the family cemetery at LaClede. He was about thirty. The women’s club hosted its annual reception and banquet at the Park Hotel last Friday with a prose of politics and state affairs, a grand march, and a dance in the senate chamber.

Counties receive representation based on 1894 Bartly vote with Polk county allotted nine delegates. proxies barred. JT Maluriau chair. TE Szpewick secretary.
