Shelby market reports Corn 63 Oats 49 Wheat 1.16 Hogs 6.50. J W Ballenger installs a new cash register. Several residents travel or visit Omaha Cedar Rapids Stromsburg Hartford Danbury and nearby towns. The article notes church lightning damage a fatal bull attack and multiple local projects and events including a high school play and construction projects.
The corn planter is active in the area and local residents report health updates. J W Law travels to Galesburg for his brother’s funeral. A parsonage burglary occurred last week with cash taken while Rev and Mrs Bolton slept. The community donated ten and five dollars to Rev Bolton and Mrs Bolton respectively. Wayland Sunday School plans Children’s Day on the second Sunday in June.
