Osceola’s Market Day drew crowds with auctions offering items from baby carts to lumber wagons. Joe Gubser surveyed horses in his new gallery cart while traffic snarled as autos filled the square amid daytime matinee and evening shows.
Saturday morning while working with his horses Uncle Mike Hoffer broke his right leg above the knee. He is resting well. He believes a kick may have caused the fracture, though unsure. The bone was previously weakened by a past break. he is 72 years old.
Notice to settle debts owed to the late L. A. Beltzer or to Mrs. Mary A. Beltzer. Parties in debt are urged to call and settle at their earliest convenience. L. C. Stoner was in the city from Seward over Sunday.
