Easter Sunday services planned across churches with special music and sermons. First M E Church in dawn service features organ pieces and a baptism, followed by a 7 30 evening program with choir and solos. Contributions for the M E Hospital eggs encouraged at the Produce store.
Anna Charlotte Seefus Koehler died March 24 1923 at age 72 in Osceola Nebraska after a long life of faith and service. Born in London moved to Philadelphia then Brookfield Laselle County Iowa and Nebraska later. married William Koehler in 1868. Survived by husband four brothers two sisters many children grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral at First M E Church Osceola with Rev J A Klein and Rev W W Hull. Golden wedding celebrated five years earlier with all children present.
Frank C Olson born April 27 1860 in Knox County Illinois. He moved to Colon Nebraska in 1877 and married Anna Swanson in Lincoln February 27 1895. He died March 20 aged 62 years 19 months 21 days, leaving wife Hugo H Olson two brothers and two sisters. The family lived near Colon then Stromsburg. He joined the Swedish Mission church at Stromsburg.
Frank Frerichs was born March 10 1880 in Moorhausen Germany and died March 20 1923 in Columbus Nebraska aged 43 years 10 days. He lived in Askem Illinois and Polk County Nebraska before moving to Bainville Montana where he resided with his brother Henry. He leaves a father and mother in Columbus Nebraska two sisters Mrs Chas Hennings Star City Canada and Mrs E H Horst Fullerton Nebraska and two brothers Henry Bainville Montana and John Frerichs Osceola Nebraska.
The body of Jesse Edward Ellege, 12, of Trumbull, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Ellege, was brought from Trumbull to Osceola on Monday after a brief illness. He died Sunday from acute stomach and bowel disorder. Funeral at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Nathn Ellege home, conducted by Rev. W. W. Hull, burial at Wesley Chapel. He leaves parents and six siblings. eldest Nate Ellege of Casper, Wyoming, is among the survivors.
Relatives including Mrs. Leanna Kearns of Omaha Amog Elledge and family of Columbus Ed Drum and family of Shelby attended the funeral Tuesday for Mrs. Nathan Ellege and her uncle Ben Elledge who reside here.
We express heartfelt thanks to many friends for kindness during our sad bereavement in the loss of our beloved boy. Mr. and Mrs. D. BE. Elledge Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Elledge.

Lincoln March 28 The lower house voted to dismiss the University of Neraska investigating committees and refused to retain committee records as house data. Representative Malcolm Baldridge of Omaha helped quell a fight between Jacoby of Havelock and Vance of Hastings during the session.

At the regular meeting of the American Legion post on Tuesday evening a committee was appointed to secure a speaker and arrange the Decoration Day program. Other business was discussed and a luncheon and smoker followed, drawing a large attendance as the group plans more social gatherings at future meetings.
Miss Elsie Johnson returned home from Omaha along with Albert Ryan and Mrs. Ryan will stay in Omaha for a few days. The next City Auditorium program features a Par ent-Teachers entertainment for school benefit, followed by the Osceola Band concert. Marie Nelson, daughter of Mr and Mrs John Nelson, came back from Omaha after attending her aunt Mrs Alfred Andersons funeral held Monday.
Messrs Bell Mattison Lemen and Wood of Lincoln have bought out C J Garlow and associates in the Columbus area telephone system. The Lincoln Telephone Company may have interest but is not involved in the purchase. Transfer occurred March 10. Platte county has 200 local stockholders. Mr Garlow, a Nebraska telephony pioneer and active attorney, remains connected. President Phillips of Columbus serves as a director.
Miss Joyselan Snider and Don R. Byers wed at St Pauls M E church Lincoln with Rev Walter Aitken officiating. The couple, both Osceola natives and high school graduates, return home to begin married life with Mr Byers at First National Bank.

A 25-couple social at the Presbyterian church featured games and light refreshments. Plans to form a permanent club met first Monday monthly. Miss Irma Shaw and Miss Marguerite Beckmeyer hosted a miscellaneous shower for Mrs Don Byers with gifts and a wedding march by Mrs Ruth Cornish. 26 guests attended.
The Royal Neighbors gathered at Mrs. James Dunn's Gospel Ridge home Saturday afternoon with about twenty four members and guests attending. Mrs. Dunn hosted with help from Mrs. Kate Fridenstine Mrs. R. G. Douglas and Mrs. Jos. Anderson as they served an elaborate luncheon. A letter from Mrs. Wm. Shrader of Burley Idaho was read, greeting the order and noting the Shrader family’s good progress in their new home.
