Qualified electors in Osceola Polk County Nebraska vote April 3 1956 for Mayor Police Magistrate and two City Council seats Ward one and Ward two. Polls open 8 AM to 8 PM at Polk County Court House Osceola. Fred Bond Mayor.
Legal voters of School District No. 19 in Polk County Nebraska will vote Tuesday, April 3, 1956, to elect the following officers or issues as specified in the notice.
One member of the Board of Education of said School District No. 19 for a term of one year. Two members of the Board of No. 19 for a term of three years. The voting place shall be Polk County Court House in Osceola Nebraska. Polls open 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. on election day.

Mrs Edward Lisko spent Friday in Omaha visiting Mr and Mrs V J Rakowski and family. She also called on Mr and Mrs John Rakowski. Mr and Mrs Adolph Bernt joined relatives Sunday evening and they all motored to the home of Mr and Mrs Chet Wells at Columbus for a housewarming. The evening was social and refreshments were served.
Mrs Ronald Carlson and child ren visited York to see her mother Mrs Carl Samuelson. 4 H Club met at Gust Carlson home. Several local families visited, dined, or traveled to nearby towns including Lincoln Omaha Silver Creek and Columbus for services and events.
Mrs. Joe Karges and the Gabriel family visited the Robert Topinka home in Columbus and called on Mrs. John Sellars and Mrs. Catherine Karges. Tuesday evening Mr. and Mrs. Gust Carlson and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Buchta attended a music concert in York.
The junior class finalizes plans for the May 4 banquet theme and decorations while hosting a community pancake feed on April 5 in the high school auditorium from 5 30 to 7 30 pm with 65 and 35 cent prices. The Music Department approves entries for the Goldenrod Music Festival on March 27 and the April 15 16 Central City contest, with Osceola reporting 25 entries against a typical 15 to 20. The Sophomore class departs OHS on Tuesday March 13 at seven.
The sophomore class and dates attended a skating party at the York rink by bus returning after 11. The senior class continues two weeks of play practice hoping for an April performance. Wednesday the FFA and FHA met at the high school planning a Fun Feed and Judging Day at Lincoln scheduled for April 5 6 and 7.
