Polk County 4-H Roots and Milestones Chronicle
The 1920 Polk County Annual Report marks the start of 4-H club work with 13 enrolled youths in homemaking and gardening demonstrations. By 1921 the program expanded, adding a Home Agent, livestock and poultry clubs, and a county fair presence. The piece traces ongoing growth, key leaders, milestones in judging and exhibit traditions, funding efforts, and the evolution of Extension service in Polk County through the 1960s.
