A jumble of town updates notes Ian and wife visiting, Carlson and family, and various residents moving or improving homes. Funeral services for a local man were held, with community members attending. J A Loudermile traveled to Lincoln, while Mrs Nichols prepares to move to Omaha and residents adjust residences.
William Richmond Sr. spent the Sabbath at D Jarmin s. Mrs Ward dined with Mrs Curtis and Ambrose Hoard with Frank Walker last Sunday. Rev J Timm and wife called on his brother Christopher Saturday. Mr and Mrs Fred Timm and Mr and Mrs Mark Timm visited C Timm s Sunday. Mrs C Timm has been seriously sick but is improving. David Timm moved to his farm east of here last Saturday. John Vanheesen and wife visited relatives Sunday. Floyd West traveled to the county’s western part last Friday returning Sunday afternoon. Miss Florence West has tonsillitis. Charles Waletrom moved to the Myers farm Monday.
Mrs. C B Wingfield of Fair Play Missouri reports thirty five years of chronic diarrhoea. She says Chamberlains Colic Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy gave more good than any other medicine she used. Gale by G T Ray Ca.
Osceola and nearby towns report visits by merchants and officials, farm sales and auctions, church meetings, and social events. Bets on poultry prices, grain and flour trade, and new businesses mix with farewells as residents relocate to Lincoln and Washington.
About twenty five married friends of Mr and Mrs J J Makeever gathered at their home last Friday evening for a lively social with singing and refreshments. Ingalls the auctioneer is back in Polk County and available for safe work at Shelby or by appointment at the Record Office. Three young men from the county's southwest were fined four dollars and costs for disturbing a Frog Pond school meeting. County Attorney Beebe prosecuted. two more implicated will be questioned tomorrow.

The Heinemeyer boys delivered hogs, a party at Mrs. Clifton’s, and visits between Osceola and local families are noted. Mrs. George Carnine died after a five month illness. funeral at Fairview with interment at Unceo cemetery.

Lew Miller, a resident north west of Osceola, returned Tuesday from a two week trip to Wheatland Wyoming. He purchased a quarter section a half mile from town near the main irrigation ditch, and the land is all under cultivation.

The Y P S GC E society will hold a poverty social Tuesday evening at E A Walrath's residence. Friends are invited to attend the evening program and refreshments. Emma Woodstill born September 12 1848 in Jefferson County Indiana wife of Geo Carnine died after long illness. Funeral at Fairview Church with Rev W J Scott, interment Oscouse Cemetery. Seven children of whom seven survive. family and community express sympathy.
