Wedding Anniversaries in Polk County Celebrate Long Marriages
Last Saturday Mr and Mrs William Hanshew were surprised by twenty eight relatives bearing baskets for their thirty six year marriage anniversary. English violets adorned the table and music filled the rooms with phonograph tunes and organ selections. The Hanshews are well known old settlers in Polk County and friends wish them many bright future years. Tuesday marked the sixtieth anniversary of Mr and Mrs Daniel Jarmin with a sizable turnout despite bad weather. Guests enjoyed a fine dinner and presented the couple an easy chair as a token of esteem. The occasion drew neighbors together to recall early days and hope for many more anniversaries.
