Carl Bull, a mechanic at Carson Auto Co, injured his left forearm when a steel piece pierced it while driving off a gear. Doctors say removal is not practicable now and further developments will decide next steps. Bull is a valued worker and relief is wished by many friends.
The Big Community Day and Auction in Osceola, delayed from last Saturday due to a storm, is rescheduled for March 17. All March 3 activities are carried forward, merchants enhance bargains, and the event promises spring warmth and new bargains as crops start.

Mary Margaret Presson wife of J H Presson born October 8 1848 in Rushville Schuyler County Illinois. She and her husband moved through Tecumseh Nebraska Hiawatha Kansas and Omaha staying active in the Methodist church and Women’s Club of Stromsburg. Survived by sons Cloyd E and George H, four granddaughters and one grandson, she died March 2 1923 after years of illness and was laid to rest in Stromsburg Nebraska.
The Woman's Literary Club met with Mrs. King for Browning study. New officers are President Mrs. Lulu May Merrick, Vice President Mrs. Venus Campbell, Secretary-Treasurer Mrs. Helen LeMar. Next meeting March 29 at Mrs. Hull's home.

Word from E. W. Stewart of Platte precinct reports he is not progressing well in Columbus hospital since last week’s limb amputation. Doctors fear another section of the bone may need removal.
H. C. Beebe is brought home from York hospital with improving recovery progress. Friends across the state express joy at his restored health and hopeful outlook.
The Camp Fire Girls of Osceola stage a Thursday night entertainment with two short plays My Run From California and How Nellie Made Good. Admission is 15 and 25 cents.

In 1922 over 200 flocks averaged 113.6 eggs per hen, with 6,409 Nebraska farms capable of producing 56.5 million dollars in eggs annually at current rates, and potential growth to 66 million with higher yields. Culling sires better equipment and feeding are cited as key measures.
